When passion earns a medal.

We don't make chocolate for awards. But sometimes, an international jury confirms that all the details you've labored over truly shine through in the bar.

When passion earns a medal.

From Brașov to the international chocolate stage.

In 2023, Livstory participated in the European, Middle Eastern and African Bean-to-Bar competition of the International Chocolate Awards.

Two of our bars received bronze medals that year:

Uganda Semuliki 70%

and

Dark Milk Chocolate with Coffee.

A year later, the story continued.

At the 2024 European edition, Uganda Semuliki 70% received a silver medal with a score of 90.1.

Nicaragua O'Tuma 100% was awarded gold in the high-percentage dark chocolate category with a score of 89.2, along with the Gold: Chocolate Maker distinction.

And our Dark Milk Chocolate with Coffee won gold with a score of 90.2, along with the special Innovation and Ingredients distinctions.

Then came the World Final 2024.

Uganda Semuliki 70% received bronze.

Nicaragua O'Tuma 100% received bronze.

And the Dark Milk Chocolate with Coffee was awarded gold globally in the 'Milk chocolate bars with an infusion or flavouring' category with a score of 89.8, alongside the special Recipe distinction.

For us, awards don't change the reason we make chocolate.

But they do confirm something important.

Choosing a specific origin, the roast profile, the texture, the balance of a recipe, and all the small decisions that the person unwrapping the bar doesn't see, can indeed be felt in the final product.

And for that, we are grateful.

We cherish every medal. Then, we return to the cocoa.
